Abdominoplasty is an operation designed to restore a flat and even tummy that is damaged by pregnancy or significant weight loss. During the procedure, the doctor will adjust the spacing of the abdominal muscles, remove excess skin and fatty tissue, and remove old scars if necessary. The surgery can be combined with liposuction or performed on a smaller scale as a mini-abdominoplasty.

 

Preparation before abdominoplasty

Consultation with a physician:

The course of the operation:

• Incision in the lower abdomen (hidden in the underwear), or from the navel downwards.

• Loosening the skin from the muscles and removing the excess.

• Stapling of the separated abdominal muscles.

• Moving the navel into the correct position.

• Closing the wound.

• Connection with liposuction:

• Fat is suctioned out before the navel is repositioned, ensuring a natural transition between tissues.

Postoperative regimen after abdominoplasty
